2016 Election and Immigration
Since Donald Trump entered the race and declared his intentions to build a massive wall across the U.S Mexico border immigration has been at the front of the policy conversation.
There’s a reason its such a big issue:
It plays to voter’s fears about a number of other issues, namely jobs and the economy, but also national security and the war on drugs.
Where do the candidates stand?
Donald Trump wants to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it !
Hilary Clinton is on the exact opposite side of the spectrum on this issue. Saying we need a plan to get the 12 million or so people in this country illegally as citizens and very much in favor, in fact more pro-Immigration law than Obama.
This is a no-brainer. I've always told my friends that if there were no Immigrants in this country, there would be no $5 lunch. Enough said. People need to stop complaining about Immigrants stealing their jobs and talk about what Immigrants DO bring. The jobs they have, believe me, most Americans don't want them. And remember, Immigrants also bring talent, workforce, diversity and hardwork ethic as well. Is it any wonder that the greatest cities in the world ( New York, London, the list goes on and on) are the cities that have the most cultural diversity ( that means Immigrants)? Think about it.
