I thought that the internet would help people self-file. I thought that everyone could just learn about what they need and do filings on their own. But once I looked at all the postings and comments and forums, my head started spinning from all the conflicting information, EVEN AT THE USCIS SITE !!! No wonder people need Immigration lawyers!
Why do people trust the internet for such an important thing in their lives? Why are people willing to be deported just to not go to an Immigration lawyer? I understand that it can sometimes be expensive, but think about the cost of filing incorrectly, the delays, the money you will have to spend eventually for an Immigration lawyer later to clean things up.
It's all in the details- if you don't know all the pitfalls, how will you know to avoid them?
You do your job and let Immigration lawyers do what they do best. Don't trust the internet. It's like self medicating yourself through forums. Bad idea. I know it's cheap, but it's still a bad idea.
